LouiSimone Guirandou Gallery is renewing its annual exhibition Découvertes, dedicated to highlighting emerging artists on the African and international art scene.
The fourth edition of this exhibition, which focuses on the younger generation, brings together the works of six artists, three men and three women, on the walls of the gallery in Abidjan. Each of them, with a singular sensibility, deploys an ontological perception of the world, of what links individuals to their territory, to their history and thus to their identity.
They work with photography, painting, drawing, textiles and recycled materials. They come from Senegal, Ivory Coast, France and Nigeria... The diversity of the artists' origins and the mediums they use appear to be representative of the wealth of contemporary creations that this new generation of artists proudly carries.
The six artists, with their varied backgrounds and careers, offer us a glimpse of the emerging art scene, its audacity and its ambitions:
with Theophany ADOH, Wanger AYU, Aïssatou CISS, Stéphane CUXAC, Aude GUIRAUDEN and Ibn Cheickh Sallah DIEBKILE.
