"Beyond Awakening" (Dyptique)
This diptych complements the triptych 'The Awakening" by exploring what happens after enlightenment. It asks : "do we keep seeking, or do we settle into what we already know?". It looks at "The pursuit and the pause", "The scholar and the settler" a reflection on the dual paths of knowledge: the seeker who continues to learn and the one who becomes stagnant in what they already know. This symbolizes the ongoing pursuit of wisdom vs. complacency, adding depth to The Awakening series.

Panel 1 - "The Endless Pursuit"
This panel depicts a boy intensely reading, completely immersed in his book. His face is illuminated by a strong, focused light, emphasizing his hunger for knowledge. Shadows still linger around him, signifying that learning is an infinite journey, no matter how much we know, there is always more to uncover. His posture is engaged, his expression one of deep concentration, reflecting the energy of someone who understands that wisdom is a lifelong pursuit.

Panel 2 - "The Complacent Mind"
This panel portrays another boy sitting with the book closed, his expression contemplative yet content. Though he is bathed in the same golden light as before, the glow is softer, less intense. The closed book symbolizes a pause, perhaps even stagnation. He believes he has learned enough, yet the absence of movement in his posture suggests that knowledge, once stagnant, may eventually fade into arrogance or limitation. This piece raises the question: "does wisdom end when we stop searching, or does true understanding require continuous curiosity?".

« Beyond Awakening » (Dyptique)

Panneau 1 - "The Endless Pursuit"

Panneau 2 - "The Complacent Mind"
